Cancellation Policy
SyncPoint Notify is a month-to-month service with no lock-in contract. You cancel from inside your account, under Support.
Last updated: 4 August 2026
How to cancel
The primary way to cancel is through the in-app Support feature. Sign in to SyncPoint Notify, open Support and select “Cancel subscription”. Only an organisation administrator can submit a cancellation request.
If you cannot access your account, email info@syncpointsolutions.co.za from your organisation’s recognised email address.
Your request is recorded as a support ticket with your organisation, the requesting user, the submission time and any preferred cancellation date, so the whole cancellation is traceable end to end.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request in the same support thread.
- We verify that the requester is authorised to cancel for your organisation.
- We reply with a written confirmation stating the effective cancellation date. That confirmation is your proof of cancellation.
- We then complete the operational steps to make sure no further renewal is requested.
Cancellation is processed manually so that it is verified rather than automatic. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to confirm in writing within 7 business days.
When cancellation takes effect
Unless a qualifying refund is approved, your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not by itself refund a period that has already been paid. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
SMS charges on cancellation
SMS parts already submitted to the SMS provider or mobile network remain payable. Text messages are charged separately at R0.40 per billable SMS part and are not reversed by cancelling. If prepaid credits are introduced in future, one credit will equal one billable SMS part at R0.40, and unused credits will be treated in line with the Refund Policy at that time.
Your data after cancellation
After cancellation takes effect we retain your organisation’s data only for as long as is needed to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations, and then delete or anonymise it. You may request an export of your learner and guardian records before the effective date, and you may request deletion in line with our Privacy Policy and Operator Agreement.
Cancellation by us
We may suspend or cancel an account for non-payment, for a serious breach of the Terms of Service, or where the service is used unlawfully. Except in cases of abuse or legal compulsion, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to correct the issue first.
Your rights under South African law
Nothing in this policy limits any right you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
